Liberté is collaborating in environmental analysis projects with CIRAIG (Interuniversity Research Centre for the Life Cycle of Products, Processes and Services).
What is Life Cycle Analysis? Below is an explanation from an expert in the field:
By Manuele Margni
Research Agent at CIRAIG, École Polytechnique de Montréal

“Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) studies the environmental impacts associated with a product throughout its life cycle (including the raw materials used) from production, transportation and consumer usage to processing at the end of its life, whether recycling or disposal. In other words, it is a “cradle to grave” analysis.
With the LCA tool, we can identify the main sources of environmental impact throughout a product’s life and avoid solutions that simply shift pollution from one life cycle stage to another.”
This LCA methodology provides key environmental information to all stakeholders – industrial decision-makers, consumers, public authorities, NGO’s, etc.
For Liberté, the LCA approach has made it possible to prioritize ongoing improvement policies and clarify the technical and organizational choices we need to make with regard to the environment.
